Pilates: is a lifestyle; once you start you will notice when you stop. Pilates is a must for anyone who is looking to improve their posture and general well-being; it really helps to bring the body back into balance, Pilates focuses on your core muscles and is fantastic for highlighting and helping any niggles you may find; hence why so many GP’s refer Pilates as it is also an excellent class for rehabilitation. Every move will start at the basic level and will be progressed so that all levels are welcome, a fabulous way to start or end the day and feel de-stressed ready for the day ahead or an evening of rest.
My Kind of Yoga ™ the intentional movement system for a simple no fluff and straightforward approach to yoga. It is about self-exploration and is a journey of personal discovery. Intention has to do with the heart: the power of the heart as a driving force behind all and what we do, in our yoga practice and in life. Movement has to do with body: the beauty of the human body in action, when moving with intention and awareness leads to the natural flow of energy. Emotion=energy in motion. It is a movement system that allows you to explore your internal landscape. Anatomically and physiologically we are all different. Genetically, you could argue that we are the same, but in terms of how our bodies function, and how our mind works, we are different. My kind of yoga ™ has various sequences such as strong, grounding, energising, calming etc. As we are all different the poses and sequences can be modified to suit the individuals taking into account physical ability, fitness levels, any existing injuries, joint issues, diseases, illnesses etc. What should also be considered is your physical and mental condition is forever changing. You could wake up one morning with a stiff neck and another with a pain in your shoulder. One afternoon, you may have lots of energy, or you may be recovering from the flu. With all this in mind, modifying the poses helps keep it interesting and helps you stay present throughout the practice.

A ChiBall exercise class is practised to mindful music followed by relaxation, breathing exercises and meditation
ChiBall combines the philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine, colour, aromatherapy and movements taken from Tai Chi, dance, yoga and Pilates. A ChiBall exercise class is practised to mindful music – followed by relaxation (Feldenkrais), breathing exercises and meditation. This potent combination helps to relieve stress, aid weight loss, tone and detoxify the body, strengthen the mind and nourish the spirit. Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water are the five natural elements through which yin and yang energy is expressed and each element has characteristics that relate to the seasons, movements, colours and aromas.

Pilates is for strengthening your core, joints, back and posture; knitting our body back together, helping you be more upright, stand better, walk better and sit better
